Infotools Harmoni Software Platform

Role:UI/UX designer
Client:Infotools
Responsibilities:UI/UX design and new design styles
Date:March 2017 to June 2018

Infotools Harmoni is a cloud-based market research analysis software platform. It delivers actionable intelligence and insights quickly and consistently, helping business be faster, smarter and better. It provides tools for data visualisation and export the results to Powerpoint for presentation.

The platform was in development for 4 years and formally launched in November 2017. My main responsibilities are

  • creating new design guidelines,
  • improving existing user experiences and user interface,
  • designing solutions and user interface for new features, and
  • working closely with internal stakeholders, product manager and the development team to ensure successful delivery.

Below are examples of my work at Infotools.

New global navigation

Browse is the main menu item for users to navigat. There're 5 categories: porjects, stories, analyses, dashboards and alerts. New design styles are applied to the global navigation. Also added are new functionalities that allow users to quickly locate an item he/she is looking for.

Creating analysis

Projects are the building block of the application. Users can use the data of a project to create analysis. Drag and drop is used extensively in the application. Here users can easily drag a data item from the datatree and add it to an analysis.

Single numbers

Single numbers is a new feature launched in November 2017. It allows users to set alerts on data points. When data are updated, pre-set targets are met or have statistical significance, subscribers are notified by emails. The accompanying project is the redesign of the Harmoni app for mobile.
