The Talei was designed as an exclusive multi-million dollar hotel located on a small island off the Fijian coast. Investors can buy shares which entitles them to stay at the hotel for 3 weeks a year. For the rest of the year, their investment helps run the business.
My challenge was to present the project in an elegant way without giving out any details. Much like a brochure for luxury goods (think Gucci or LV) the end goal was to entice people to take the next step and contact the developer.
The pace of life on a small, tranquil island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is also much slower. So the site needed to reflect that deeply relaxed atmosphere.
It was a really rewarding piece of work for me personally and professionally. Here’s an excerpt from Communication Arts magazine which picked Talei as its site of the week.
